My decision to study engineering at the University of Hong Kong is based not only on its good reputation, but also on the fact that many brilliant specialists were taught at this educational institution.
Moreover, I know that today, the University of Hong Kong has about 20,500 students from more than 80 different countries of the world. It means that people of different nationalities study at the UHK. The academic staff includes more than 2,250 qualified specialists. I think that this institution of higher education is a prestigious one in today’s world.
In addition, I should say that my decision to study at this educational institution is also connected with the fact that Hong Kong is a center of fast-developing East Asia with world class infrastructure and great opportunities for students including libraries, education centers and information network. I think that it is great to study in the city like Hong Kong. Moreover, Hong Kong provides great career opportunities after graduation. It is easier to find a job in Hong Kong than in any other city of East Asia especially if it refers to a young specialist with little experience. I am sure that most students of this educational institution are satisfied with the knowledge they get at the UHK.
In conclusion, it is necessary to say that my dream to be the student of the engineering faculty of the University of Hong Kong is also the dream of my father who wants me to become an effective engineer who will be able to cope with any task and to solve any industrial problem. Moreover, he is sure that the University of Hong Kong will give me an opportunity to become more confident in my knowledge, more communicative and more persistent in the process of pursuing the established goals. I will be proud to become a student of such an authoritative higher education institution as the University of Hong Kong and to master the profession of an engineer that will help me to make a good career and to succeed in life.
